The Hamburg Lions fell the to the Warren Lumberjacks last week on the road.

The Lions traveled to Warren without their starting quarterback and one of their best middle linebackers.

Coach Cecil Ray Cossey said that while no Lion has yet to actually get COVID-19, the exposure protocol is what kept some of his starters out last week against the Lumberjacks.

The Lions didn’t give up an easy fight, but ultimately fell 26-14.

Hamburg is now 2-1 in conference play and ranked third in the conference behind Crossett and Warren.

Crossett has played two conference games and remains undefeated in conference play. Warren is 4-1 in conference play and ranked second in the conference.

The Lions will host the Dumas Bobcats on Thursday. This will be their last regular season home game and they will honor their seniors in a ceremony before the game.
