Barbara Barnett Courson

Barbara Ann Barnett Courson, 79, of Crossett died on Saturday, April 25, 2015. Born August 11, 1935, in Hamburg to Jack and Bertie Mae Giles Barnett, she was a lifelong homemaker and Sunday School teacher; she enjoyed cross stitching and reading.

Survivors include her husband of 60 years, William Edward Courson, Sr., of Crossett; two sons, William Edward, Jr., and Freda and Mark Claiborn of Crossett; three daughters, Gayla Diane Snelgrove and Eric of Leesville, Brenda Carlynn Beasley and Sonya Alice Knight and James of Crossett; a son-in-law, Greg Donald of Crossett; a sister, Beth Leigh of Hamburg; a brother, Gerald Barnett of Oklahoma City; grandchildren, Brandi Mann, Jon Beasley and Chasidy, Daniel Beasley, Ally Donald, Katie Haynie and Stan, Cory Snelgrove, Clint Snelgrove, Carly Cooper, Rachael Cooper, Nick Courson and Brooke Courson; and great-grandchildren, Hannah Swaim, Andy Trichell, Tyler Trichell, Davyn Whitehead and Courson Haynie. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Teresa Ann Courson Donald; her parents, Jack and Bert Barnett; a brother, Willard Fay Barnett; and two sisters, Mary Alice Leigh and Julia Louise Pruitt.

Funeral services were planned for 10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 28, at Mount Olive Baptist Church with Rev. Eric Hodge officiating. Burial was to follow at Pinewood Memorial Park under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of Crossett. Memorials may be made to Mount Olive Baptist Church, 1533 Hwy 52 West, Crossett, AR 71635. Betty Jane Cooper Crow

Betty Jane Cooper Crow, 64, of Crossett died on Sunday, April 26, 2015, at the Ashley County Medical Center. Born on November 11, 1950, to H. B. Cooper and Mary Edith Cooper Scarlett, she attended grade school in Sherrill, then White Hall Junior High School and graduated from Crossett High School in 1968. A secretary and bookkeeper for 42 years at Berry Packing, she enjoyed sports and listening to music, especially George Strait.

Survivors include one son, Jimmy Crow and Rebecca of Conway; her mother, Mary Edith Scarlett of Crossett; one brother, Gary Cooper and Mary of Pine Bluff; one sister, Julia Bradshaw of Sherwood; one granddaughter, Kori Crow of Conway; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, April 29, at Beech Street Baptist Church with Bro. Donnie DuBose officiating. Burial will follow at the Promise Land Cemetery under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of Crossett. Online guest book at www.jonesservice.com

Candice Le Miller

Candice Le Miller, 30, of Hamburg died Tuesday, April 21, 2015. A native of Texarkana, Texas, she had been a resident of Hamburg for the past five years and lived in Crossett for many years. She graduated from Crossett High School in 2002 and was a homemaker, a member of the Milo Fire Department and a member of the Trinity Free Will Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Kevin Miller of Hamburg; two sons, Christopher Ray Gregory Cross of Crossett and Kevin Miller, Jr., of Hamburg; a stepson, Ethan Miller; a step-daughter, Jorden Miller, both of Hamburg; her parents, Virgil and Lucretia Williams Cross; a brother, Steven Cross, all of Crossett; her grandmother, JoAnn Doss of Alturas, CA; and an uncle, Harold Lee Williams of Cookeville, TN. She was preceded in death by her brother, Chris Cross, in 2005.

A memorial service was held at 2 p.m., Saturday, April 25, at the Trinity Free Will Baptist Church with Bro. Keith Boseman officiating.
