SHREVEPORT, La. - The National Weather Service Office in Shreveport has issued an extreme heat advisory of all of North Louisiana until Sunday at 7 p.m.
Dangerously hot conditions with heat index values up to 114 expected.
The remainder of the ArkLaTex remains under a heat advisory until 7 p.m. Saturday.
Temperatures in the upper 90s to lower 100s combined with high humidity will result in heat index values between 105 and 109 degrees.
