Crossett City Council members met at Crossett Public Library July 18 with discussion topics covering competitive police officer pay, new tennis courts, appointments to various committees, a proposed 3 percent advertising and promotion tax, and the potential requirement to spay and neuter pets.

Mayor’s Assistant Xavier Brown began the meeting by informing the council of funding received from a grant the city had applied for.

Mayor Crystal Marshall elaborated by saying Crossett Police Department received $3,000 to update their officers’ bodycams.
