Setup has begun for the annual Armadillo Festival carnival which opens Wednesday, May 3 with armband night from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. The carnival will reopen Thursday at 6 p.m. accompanied by the Mike MaKenzie Band on the square stage. Entertainment will resume Friday from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. before a full day of events begins at 6:30 a.m. Saturday with the annual pancake breakfast at Frist United Methodist Church and closes with The Marshall Tucker Band on the Century Next Stage.
