Crossett City Council members discussed the timeline for the Advertisement and Promotions Hotel Tax with Crossett Mayor Crystal Marshall and City Attorney James Hamilton before making their decisions on the matter at the city council meeting held on Aug. 15.

The mayor and the council discussed such topics as how long businesses would need to prepare for such a tax being collected from them.

Marshall said she would feel better if there was at least a six-month time frame in which to get everything, including the commission overseeing the tax, together.
