Eddie Roy Adcock, Sr.
Mr. Eddie Roy Adcock, Sr., 58, of Hamburg died Sunday, March 25, 2007, outside Portland. A native of Parkdale and a resident of Hamburg since 1966, he was a veteran of the United States Marines Corps, a union boilermaker, a member of the Gaines Baptist Church and an avid fisherman.
He is survived by a son, Roy Adcock, Jr., of Hamburg; a daughter, Carol Adcock Crawford of El Dorado; his mother, Imogene Vail Adcock of Hamburg; a brother, Ronald Adcock of Bastrop, LA; a sister, Shirley Adcock Walker of Hamburg; five grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Winford Adcock and six brothers, Johnny Mike (Droopy), Gary Dean, Harold, Billy Wayne, Steve & Paul Adcock.
Grave-side services and burial will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, at the Beulah Cemetery in Drew County with Rev. Charles Pullin officiating. Funeral arrangements are by Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home of Hamburg. Online guest book at www.jones-hartshorn.com
John Allgood
John Allgood, 22, of Snyder died Monday, March 19, 2007, as the result of an automobile accident in Hamburg. A native of Ft. Myers, FL, a resident of Snyder since 1996 and a former resident of Plant City, FL, he attended Hamburg High School and was a second mate and worked for the Jan Tra Tug Boat Company.
He is survived by his parents, Mickle & Vicky Freeman Allgood of Snyder; a son, Charlie Clark of Hamburg; his maternal grandparents, Otis & Linda Miles Freeman of Snyder; a sister, Samantha Wynn of Snyder; two aunts, Lisa Drost of Snyder and Frances Toole of Mulberry, FL, and other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Franklin & Sarah Allgood.
Funeral services were at 10 a.m., Saturday, March 24, in the Fellowship Baptist Church in Snyder with Revs. Charles Pullin & Elvin McDill officiating. Burial followed services at the Montrose Cemetery. Pallbearers were Daniel, Hosei, Sammy & Gelacio Mondragon, Mich Hammons and Richard Addington. Larry Eugene Boston
Larry Eugene Boston, 56, of Crossett died Tuesday, March 20, 2007, at the Ashley County Medical Center. He was an employee of the Georgia-Pacific Plywood Mill and a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include one brother, Robert Jones of Milwaukee, WI; one sister, Tammy Boston of Chicago, IL; four aunts, Ethel Roath of Kansas City, MO, Georgia Robinson of Madera, CA, Catherine Boston of El Dorado and Dorothy Loftis of Crossett; and one uncle, Jackey Cason of Chicago. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Boston and Ola Mae Cason Jones; and his aunt and uncle who raised him after his mother's death, Eugene and Alice Cason Hill.
Funeral services were held Monday, March 26, at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church on Florida Street with Rev. Evandrew Washington officiating. Burial was at Phillip Grove Cemetery under the direction of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg. Pallbearers were Marvin Jones, Earl Davis, Billy Rice Jr., James Critchfield, Johnny Robinson, Lewis Wallace, Ricky Bonnett and Larry Waters. Honorary pallbearers were members of the Domino Club and the Breakfast Club.
Halsenia Frazier
Halsenia Frazier, 78, of Crossett died Saturday, March 17, 2007, at Drew Memorial Hospital in Monticello. A native of Portland and a resident of Crossett for the past 35 years, she was a homemaker and member of New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, where she was a member of the senior choir and the No. 1 Mission Board.
Survivors include four sons, Robert and Raymond Frazier, both of Crossett, Earnest Frazier of Chicago, IL and Joe Frazier of Youngstown, OH; six daughters, Jacqueline Scott and Carrie Frazier, both of Crossett, Alice Champion of Stockbridge, GA, Reba Burris of Arlington, TX and Sandra Washington and Naomi Kennedy of Chicago; one sister, Dorothy Townsend of Dansville, IL: 37 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Frazier; one son, Roscoe Frazier; three sisters, Mary Virginia Washington, Veola Garland and Rosemary Garland; and four brothers, George, Augusta, Thomas and Russell Garland.
Funeral services were held Friday, March 23, at 1 p.m. at New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Jessie Radford Jr. officiating. Burial was at Westview Cemetery under the direction of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg. Pallbearers were Thomas Barnett Sr., Lloyd William, Wilson Owens, Curtis Burns, Melvin Smith and Laron Simpson. Honorary pallbearers were members of the New Bethel Senior Choir and No. 1 Mission Board.
Corine Henderson
Corine Henderson, 89, of Crossett died Thursday, March 15, 2007. Born on December 2, 1918, in Bradley County to W. C. and Ella Stanfield Carlock, she enjoyed fishing and was a custodian and past usher recording secretary for the New Bethel Baptist Church.
Survivors include a stepson, Robert Henderson of Hamburg; a sister, Addie B. Williams of Crossett and many other relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Henderson; a brother, Otis Carlock; and a sister, Mary McNeal.
Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 22, in the New Bethel Baptist Church with Revs. Jessie Radford and Murlee Carter officiating. Pallbearers were Johnny Todd, Earnest Williams, Tony Williams, Johnny C. Hampton, Johnny Lee Hampton, and Robert Williams. Honorary pallbearers were the No. 1 Usher Ministry of New Bethel, Glendell Williams, Sherman Dawkins, Levell Hampton, Louis Carlock, Jr., James Hampton, Jr., and Joseph Carlock. Eulalie MacFarlane Nobles
Eulalie "Lee" Hons MacFarlane Nobles, 87, of El Dorado, died Thursday, March 22, 2007 at her residence. Born September 2, 1919, in Houston, TX, to John Hutton MacFarlane and Adele Knittel MacFarlane, she was a homemaker who loved opera, traveling, and entertaining. She was a member of MacFarlane Company-USA, L.L.C., a Phi Beta Kappa from Smith College, where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts in French, a lifetime member of First United Methodist Church where she served in the choir, and a member of El Dorado's Lady Golfers Association.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, James H. Nobles Jr.; one son, Hutton Nobles; one daughter-in-law, Candace H. Nobles; and two granddaughters, Catherine N. Medlock and husband Sam, and Elizabeth N. Long and husband Matthew, all of El Dorado.
A memorial service was held Monday, March 26, at 2 p.m. at First United Methodist Church of El Dorado with Rev. Jim Polk officiating. Young's Funeral Directors of El Dorado was in charge of arrangements.

James H. Nobles, Jr.
James H. "Buck" Nobles, Jr., 92, of El Dorado died Saturday, March 24, 2007, at the Medical Center of South Arkansas. Born Nov. 24, 1914 in Parkdale, where his family survived the Depression raising cotton, corn, and soybeans, he was the son of James Howard Nobles, Sr., and Margaret Lee Ralph Nobles. He graduated from the University of Arkansas in 1936 with a B.A. and then graduated from the University of Arkansas Law School in 1938. He practiced law from 1938-1940 in El Dorado before being called to serve in the military. Buck served in the United States Army from 1941-1948, which included two years of service in Berlin at the close of World War II in the United States military government sitting opposite the Russian Communists as Germany was demilitarized.
Upon his return to the states he married Eulalie MacFarlane, who preceded him in death Thursday, March 22, 2007, after 60 years of marriage. In 1955 he became the managing partner of MacFarlane Company-USA, L.L.C., where he worked until his last days. Buck joined the Independent Petroleum Association of America in the 1950s, and he loyally served the IPAA as treasurer from 1978 to 1990. He was honored by the IPAA as the 2004 Great American Producer recipient. He was always an avid Razorback fan and a life member and supporter of the Sigma Nu Fraternity. He was a lifetime member of First United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his son, Hutton Nobles; a daughter-in-law, Candace Nobles; two granddaughters, Catherine N. Medlock and husband Sam and Elizabeth N. Long and husband Matthew, all of El Dorado. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and a sister, Margaret Sue Nobles.
Following private interment rites, a celebration of his life was held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 26, in the First United Methodist Church in El Dorado with Rev. Jim Polk officiating. Arrangements were by Young's Funeral Directors of El Dorado. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, 201 S.
