Drugs, Guns Seized

Ashley County Sheriff’s Office arrested a couple in North Crossett after responding to a disturbance call.

According to Sheriff Tommy Sturgeon, on March 22 Deputies Hunter Smith and Michael Vorhease were dispatched to a residence on Highway 52. Upon arrival they made contact with Jacob Ebarb and Haley Harris. Sturgeon said his deputies conducted a probable cause search of Ebarb’s truck and found a glass pipe commonly used to smoke methamphetamine, a digital scale, baggies, a glass vile that contained suspected liquid methamphetamine, a vaporizer with suspected methamphetamine, two revolver pistols, two semi-automatic pistols, and an AR-15 rifle.

The property was seized and both Ebarb and Harris were arrested and transported to the Ashley County Detention Center for processing.

As of Monday morning both Harris and Ebarb were still in custody awaiting first appearance.
