The newly elected sophomore class officers include president, Mary-Kate Hartley; vice president, Hayden Harrod; treasurer, Hope Shaver; reporter, Derek Reginelli, and Student Council representatives, Octavia Stanley, Lauran Williams, Christina Patton, and Hannah Tadlock.
The officers are busy with other activities and organizations in addition to their class duties.
Hartley, who is also involved in cheerleading, is excited about being elected as sophomore class president. She said, "I'm super excited and honored about being elected as president." Hartley is also excited about being able to represent her class in a positive way.
Harrod is planning to join the Spanish Club and the Drama Club. He is honored to be vice president of his sophomore class. He said, "I am proud that I have classmates that wanted to elect me as vice president." Harrod said that he is excited about planning homecoming and helping the class as much as possible.
Shaver, who is in Health Occupation Students of America, Drama Club, and Tennis Team, is excited about planning all the new activities for this year and being her class treasurer. She said, "I am honored to have been elected as treasurer by the sophomore class, and I can't wait to help the school as much as possible."
Reginelli is in football, baseball, and the Spanish Club. He is also excited about being elected as an officer. He said, "I feel honored to be elected as class officer by my classmates." He is also excited about representing his class as the sophomore class reporter. Stanley is the sophomore class representative.
Williams is involved in HOSA. She is excited about being a representative for the sophomore class. She said, "I'm most excited about the year because we're making school spirit more effective."
Patton is involved in Book Club, Chess Club, Future Business Leaders of America, and the band. She is excited about helping the school any way she can. She said, "I'm very excited to be elected as a class representative, and I can't wait to see what this year brings."
Tadlock is in basketball and softball. She is excited about being elected and helping the school. She said, "It feels good to know that my class voted for me to represent them."
The officers are planning activities for the school year. The plans involve planning dances to getting activities ready for HHS.
