Obituaries Published June 6 Full Text Russel G. Hogue Russel G. Hogue, 82, of Lonoke died Sunday, June 3, 2007. He was born July 12, 1924, in Walnut Lake and spent his childhood in Florence, later moving to McGehee. He was a member of the Lonoke Baptist Church, a deacon emeritus, and a retired auto mechanic. He was a WWII veteran, serving in the European Theater as a member of the First Army, Third Armored Division. Survivors include a son, David and wife Dana Hogue of Lake Wylie, SC; daughters, Susan and husband Roger Manning of Hot Springs and Elizabeth and husband Dwayne Bell of Fort Smith; brothers, Gene Hogue and Roy and wife Ursula Hogue of McGehee and Lawrence Hogue of Louisiana; one sister, Ann and husband Earl Wood of McGehee; grandchildren, Mark Hogue of Crossett, Mackenzie Barber of Hot Springs, Clay Manning of San Antonio, Texas, Robinson Hogue of Charlotte, NC, Joshua Bell of Fayetteville, Amanda Grimes of Little Rock and Austin Hogue of Columbia, SC; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Austin and Joshua Barber of Hot Springs and extended family Jimmy and Sheila Wallace of Lonoke, Jennifer, Eric and Anna Claire Hale of Lavaca, Leah and Reagan Palmer of Searcy and Laura and Andy Evans of Warren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Maggie Hogue, brother, Wayne Hogue, and sisters, Ruby Spradlin and Mildred Foster, one son, Hugh Hogue, his wife of 46 years, Janie Whitaker Hogue, and his wife of 11 years, Gerlie Starling Hogue. Funeral services will be held at Lonoke Baptist Church, at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 6. Burial will follow in Mt Carmel Cemetery in Eudora at 3 p.m. The family will receive friends from 6-7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Boyd Funeral Home in Lonoke. Margaret M. Hurley Margaret M. Hurley, 80, of Wilmot, died Tuesday, May 29, 2007, at the Summerlin Lane Nursing Home in Bastrop, LA. A native of Wilmot; a former resident of Corpus Christi, TX, a resident of Wilmot for the past 20 years and a resident of the Summerlin Lane Nursing Home for the past three years, she was a bookkeeper, a member of the Wilmot Baptist Church and a member of the Eastern Star. She is survived by a brother, Fred Montgomery and wife Shirley of Wilmot; a sister, Marine Love of Birmingham, AL; a step-son, Johnny Hurley, Jr., of Marshall TX; a step-daughter, Linda Quantilla of Connecticut; and six nieces. She was preceded in death by her husband, John E. Hurley, in 1987; her parents, Fred and Mayme Reid Montgomery and a nephew, David Love. Funeral services were at 2 p.m., Thursday, May 31, in the chapel of Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home with Rev. Philip Bowles officiating. Burial followed services at the Hamburg Cemetery. Pallbearers were Clint McGowen, Rick Barthol, Logan Hollis, Cecil Harvey, Stephen McKelvey and Payton Hollis. Honorary pallbearers were Ricky Barthol, Ron McGowen, Leon McAlister, Archie Walker, Phil Hollis, Gene Chandler, Bobby Foster, Heath Barthol and Austin Bordeaux. Online guest book at www.jones-hartshorn.com Emma Lee Jones Emma Lee Jones, 92, of Warren, formerly of Crossett, died Friday, June 1, 2007, at the Bradley County Medical Center in Warren. A native of Crossett and a resident of Warren for the past four years, she retired from the Crossett School District and was a member of Hunter Chapel Baptist Church. Survivors include one son, Lawrence Lee of Oakland, CA; one daughter, Beverly Hampton of Warren; a special nephew, Larry "Chick" Taylor of Crossett; seven grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie Jones; her parents, Lum and Hattie Pippen Taylor; one brother and four sisters. Funeral services were held Monday, June 4, at 1 p.m. at Hunter Chapel Baptist Church in West Crossett with Rev. Wilton Baines officiating. Burial was at Pugh Cemetery under the direction of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg. Nephews served as pallbearers. Lois Oliver White Mrs. Lois Oliver White, 93, of Fountain Hill died Monday, May 28, 2007, at the Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff. A native of Ashley County and a resident of Fountain Hill for many years, she was a homemaker and the oldest surviving member of the Fountain Hill First Baptist Church where she was a Sunday school teacher for many years and a member of the Women's Missionary Union. She is survived by a son, Gerald "Buddy" White and companion Helen Malone of Hamburg; a daughter, Sylvia Alldread of Pine Bluff; a daughter-in-law, Mary Ann White of Hamburg; two brothers, Randall Oliver of St. Louis, MO, and LeRoy Oliver of McGehee; a sister, Ouida Hewitt of Sumerville, SC; three grandchildren, Dana Roberts of Hamburg, Kim Thornton of Woodlawn and Chuck White of Hamburg; five great-grandchildren, Damian, Jeremy and Philip Roberts, Ashlee Hayes and Colby White and a great-great-grandson, Jake Hayes. She was preceded in death by her husband, Omer White in 2000; her parents, Roy and Beulah Bryan Oliver; three brothers, Curtis, Victor and Fulton Oliver and four sisters, Louise Hoffman, Pauline Garvin, Tralucia Gehard and Vivian High. Funeral services were at 3 p.m., Wednesday, May 30, in the Fountain Hill First Baptist Church with Revs. Gene Gregory and Bill Elton officiating. Burial followed services at the Flat Creek Cemetery. Pallbearers were Damian, Jeremy and Philip Roberts, Mike Thornton, Mike Richard and Bobby Griffin. Honorary pallbearers were the members of the Ladies Sunday School Class of the Fountain Hill First Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to the Flat Creek Cemetery Association, P.O.
